IQ Lens is an online reasoning assessment intended for informational, educational and self-exploration purposes.
1. Pilot status
The current IQ Lens assessment uses a pilot, versioned scoring model. A displayed IQ-style result is a preliminary estimate based on the current item set and scoring method.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, the current result is not a population percentile and is not based on a completed representative population norming study.
2. Not a clinical or certified diagnosis
IQ Lens is not a medical, psychiatric, clinical or neuropsychological diagnostic service. The assessment does not diagnose cognitive impairment, learning disorders, ADHD, dementia, neurological disease or any other health condition.
IQ Lens should not be described as a certified clinical IQ test unless a future version has actually completed the required standardization, validation and professional review.
3. What the report can describe
The report may summarize performance in areas represented by the current item set, such as:
- abstract and pattern reasoning;
- quantitative reasoning;
- visual-spatial reasoning;
- specific task types used in the assessment.
The report describes the particular attempt and should not be interpreted as a complete measurement of all cognitive abilities.
4. What the current assessment does not establish
The standard IQ Lens assessment should not be used to claim a measured score for abilities that are not separately and adequately tested, including memory, attention, processing speed, reaction speed, executive function, personality, creativity or professional aptitude.
5. Factors that can affect results
Results can vary because of:
- fatigue or stress;
- interruptions;
- device and screen size;
- language familiarity;
- prior exposure to similar tasks;
- repeated attempts;
- environmental conditions;
- accidental input or misunderstanding of instructions.
6. Timing
Time may be shown for context or product analysis. Unless a specific future version explicitly validates and scores speed, completion time should not be interpreted as a separate measure of processing speed or reaction time and should not alter the IQ estimate merely because a user paused.
7. High-stakes decisions
Do not use an IQ Lens result as the sole basis for medical treatment, legal capacity, employment, education admission, credit, insurance or other high-stakes decisions.
For a professionally standardized assessment, consult an appropriately qualified psychologist or other licensed professional in your jurisdiction.
8. Versioning
Assessment questions, scoring and reports may be improved over time. Where results are stored, version identifiers may be retained so that a historical result can be interpreted in the context of the version that produced it.
